Lab Week 2025 is next week and, as has become tradition, St. Tammany Health System will mark the occasion with a blood drive at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
It will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday (April 24) in the Blood Center Bloodmobile, which will be stationed in the hospital’s main parking lot.
All successful donors will receive a free, limited-edition print by New Orleans artist Terrance Osborne titled “Blood Center Celebration” and featuring a brass band riding atop one of the city’s iconic red streetcars as it passes the Blood Center’s headquarters on Canal Street.
"This painting reflects our city’s lifeblood, rhythm and soul," Osborne said upon unveiling the work last November. "It honors regular donors and encourages new ones. Giving is a beautiful act that deserves depiction, reminder, and awareness, and it should be noticed with ongoing support."
As always, walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred and can be made through the Blood Center website or by scanning the QR code in the flyer below.
