Dear Partner in Care,
In South Louisiana, and particularly here on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain, community is king.
For most of us, the only greater joy than doing things with one another – whether rooting at Pelican Park, gathering at the Covington trailhead or rocking out at a community concert – is doing things for one another.
That being the case, it should come as no surprise that our STQN medical community has become such a thriving part of our overall community. Thank you for being an active part of it.
Thanks also to Dr. Jenkins, whose leadership as chairman of STQN never ceases to inspire. As you will read about in this issue of Quality Insights, you can expect to see STQN double down on fostering that sense of community with a number of STQN gatherings over the next year. That starts with a Nov. 13 networking event and wine tasting.
When it comes to providing care for our community, this issue also offers information on our monthlong campaign to raise awareness of the life-saving potential of lung cancer screenings, as well as tips for preparing your practice and your patients from all the nasty little wintertime bugs we can expect to return as the mercury drops.
Useful stuff, that. After all, we all need you and your respective office staffs to be healthy and sharp as the cold, flu and COVID seasons arrive.
Our community is depending on it.
Gratefully,
