Results of Communication Survey
RESULTS OF COMMUNICATION SURVEY
In June, an email survey was sent to the STQN network to solicit feedback on communication preferences and to best understand the STQN membership preferences for committee updates as well as educational offerings. As of July 11, 2014, 35 surveys were completed and the results will be used to optimize communication with network members.
For communication of clinical information or updates on network business, the majority of respondents preferred that the information be kept in an electronic format on the STQN website suggesting that physicians would like to view this information at a time that is most convenient to his or her schedule. With regards to education, the preference was for web-based educational sessions. Once again, flexibility seems to be a key theme.
The survey also addressed the best way to coordinate in-person discussions and the preference was for group sessions rather than one-on-one meetings. The best time for these discussions is 5 p.m. Tuesdays. Finally, in terms of frequency of communication, the survey respondents preferred monthly touch points over weekly and quarterly updates.
We appreciate those who took the survey and will work to flex our STQN communication offerings to meet the needs of the members.
